Quit Notice on Igbos: El-Rufai lied on plans to arrest Arewa youth leaders – Reno Omokri
Former Special Assistant to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on New Media, Reno Omokri, has slammed the governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai, for failing to fulfil his vow to arrest Arewa youth leaders who asked Igbos residing in the Northern part of Nigeria to vacate the region.
Reacting to El-rufai’s order of investigation into the attack on Senators Shehu Sani and Suleiman Hunkuyi, some House of Reps members and a handful of journalists in Kaduna on Sunday, Omokri wrote on his Facebook page: “By the way, I remind Nasir El-Rufai, who is extraordinarily superfast to arrest his critics, that he has not fulfilled his vow to arrest the quit notice Arewa youths!
“Funny enough they keep appearing at TV stations and radio stations and move about publicly and freely in Kaduna. It is very strange that El-Rufai cannot find them.
“One would have thought that the same El-Rufai who could trace Fulani herdsmen to Niger and other nations to offer them money would be able to trace the quit notice Arewa youths!
In another post, the former Presidential aide described the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, as an arm of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) instructed to unjustly hound and cower opposition voices. He said: “Murtala Nyako, an APC member belonging to President Muhammadu Buhari’s 97% voting bloc was accused of stealing ₦29 billion. He applied to travel abroad for medical treatment before Justice Abang and the EFCC DID NOT oppose his application and it was granted.
“Olisa Metuh a PDP member belonging to President Muhammadu Buhari’s 5% voting bloc is accused of having received NSA funds of ₦400 million and using it for campaigning for the PDP (note that he was not accused of stealing).
“He applied to travel abroad for a spinal injury to the same Justice Abang and the EFCC opposed his application and it was denied despite tendering reports from multiple neurosurgeons. Think about that before you come here to tell me that this current EFCC is not an arm of the APC.
