On August 6, 2017, there was a serious terrorist attack which took place at St. Philip's Catholic Church in Amakwa, Ozubulu Anambra State ,Biafra land where Biafrans were massacred in their large numbers. The arrangement is made in such a way that no one who comes to church that day will go home with his or her phone, not even to talk about Camera’s. They are going to bring big trucks, which all IPOB that come to come will be forced in and taken away. They will be taken to Kano, Kaduna, or Maiduguri. The attention of the leadership of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Zone C, (South East) has been drawn to the unwarranted invasion of the Press Centre of NUJ, Abia State Council, at Umuahia today 12th September, 2017, by the Nigerian army. The Igbo National Council (INC) has given the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Burutai, a 21-day ultimatum to end the recently launched ‘Operation Python Dance II’ and withdraw his men from the Southeast region. This was made known in a statement issued to newsmen in Owerri by its National President, Chilos Godsent. The release also warned that it would sue the Nigeria Army to the International Criminal Court, (ICC) for genocide against the Southeast region, if its demand was ignored. The attorney of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Ifeanyi Ejiofor, has accused the Nigerian government of placing the separatist agitator under house arrest. Many soldiers laid siege to Kanu's house on Tuesday, surrounding it and preventing him from leaving the building.
