MIDDLE BELT SEEKING FOR INDEPENDENCE FROM NIGERIA

Image
The news making waves all over the social media at the moment is the written document sent to United Nations wherein the Tiv people of Middle Belt of Nigeria is seeking for the independence from Nigerian defunct federation. Having gone through the written document of the Tiv tribe to United Nations, I discovered that it is only seeking for self-determination which will culminate into the independent state of Takuruku Republic as demanded by the indigenous people of Tiv nation which will only save them from the genocidal venom of the Nigerian government's agent of terrorism called Fulani herdsmen in the next few years. It could be recalled that from the platform of this Family Writers Press publication website which is Biafra Herald, we have made several calls to the people of Middle Belt of Nigeria to demand for secession from Nigeria as the only escape route of the people in the hands of Fulani herdsmen judging by the present wave of Fulani herdsmen attacks and killings in Middl

Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has exposed the massive corruption currently going in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, under President Muhammadu Buhari’s watch. Gistcribng.com recalls that Buhari is currently the substantive Minister of Petroleum Resources. Saraki was represented by the Senate Leader, Ahmed Lawan, at a public hearing on the re-introduction of subsidy, being conducted by the Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Downstream). The Senate President regretted that: “Government has not done what we need to do to nip this problem in the bud.” He disclosed that payments amounting to some N10 trillion, were hijacked to favour a few individuals. “Findings have brought to light the fact that our downstream oil and gas industry needs critical reforms”, he said. Saraki further stated that it had been exposed that: “In spite of the stoppage of the fuel subsidy regime, and non-appropriation of funds for the scheme, due to the fraud and maladministration

Donald Trump to Republicans: ‘We Fulfilled Far More Promises than We Promised’

Image
President Donald Trump took a victory lap on Thursday, praising Republicans for helping him keep his campaign promises by passing the important tax cut legislation. “Now we fulfilled far more promises than we promised,” Trump said, adding that the media and his political opponents were frustrated with his successes. “I call it promises plus.” Trump made his comments to House and Senate Republicans during a meeting on their upcoming agenda, but he did not refer to his unfulfilled promises to renegotiate trade deals or build the wall on the Southern border. He praised establishment Republican leadership who were present at the meeting, praising them for helping him pass important agenda items like the tax reform bill. “We’re now in battle together, in friendship together, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell,” he said. “Thank you, great guy, that was a big win we had Mitch.” He touted the economic benefits of the tax reform bill, passed at the end of 2017, which included

Netanyahu warns Putin: Israel ready to act against Iran

Image
The Israeli prime minister flew to Moscow amid escalating concerns over Iran’s push to have a permanent presence in neighboring Arab countries. By: Batya Jerenberg Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met President Vladimir Putin in the Russian capital on Monday for two hours of talks, with Iran first and foremost on the agenda. “This meeting occurred while there is a watershed change in Syria,” he explained. “Will Iran establish itself in Syria or will this process be stopped? If it is not halted on its own then we will act to stop it.” Netanyahu was directing his cautionary statement to the one person who is perhaps most able to influence Iran on the subject, as their joint interest in propping up the Assad regime in Syria has made allies of Moscow and Tehran. In fact, as a clear symbol of its growing influence in the region, Putin is set to host a two-day Syrian “congress of national dialogue” soon in the southern Russian city of Sochi as the civil war in that country winds

The Ijaw Republic Assembly, IRA, has said that the people of Southern Nigeria will push for a referendum before the 2019 elections. Speaking, a human right activist, and spokesperson of the group, Annkio Briggs pointed out that this is the only way Southerners could remain in Nigeria. She told reporters, “There is nothing about Nigeria that can worry me. It is good for us. The moment you are convinced about something, you must take a position that that thing can favour you. I have no disagreement with any Niger Delta group that is for the good of the Niger Delta and I should be part of it. It is better late than nothing at all. “They said Boko Haram had been technically defeated and afterwards they came back to life again. Their flag was handed over to Buhari in the Villa and they were also decimated. What are we talking about? “If these are the same people that government is releasing $1billion to fight, even the UN said it was the kick-off amount to clean up Ogoni oil spil

In a statement jointly signed by ECA secretary and founder of IYM, Evang. Buhari’s government justifying Fulani killings - Gov. Ishaku

The Taraba State Government has described as unfortunate the statement made by the Minister of Defence, Mansur Dan-Ali, that the anti-open grazing law in Benue had caused the massacre of innocent Nigerians by Fulani herdsmen. Speaking with the State House correspondents on Wednesday, the Minister had identified the blockage of cattle routes across the country as the remote cause of the killings by herdsmen. He also said that the implementation of anti- open grazing law in some states was the immediate cause of the killings. The minister had said, “Look at this issue (killings in Benue and Taraba), what is the remote cause of the farmers’ crisis? Since the nation ’s independence, we know there used to be a route whereby the cattle rearers take because they are all over the nation. . “If you go to Bayelsa or Ogun, you will see them . If those routes are blocked, what do you expect will happen? These people are Nigerians. It is just like one going to block the shoreline ; does th
