ATIKU WILL DEFEND HIS CITIZENSHIP IN COURT ON MONDAY 23
Hon. Justice I E Ekwo of court 6 of the Fedral High Court Abuja will hear the suit filed by the Incorporated Trustees of Egalitarin Mission for Africa on monday The hearing will commence on febraury 23, two days after the rescheduled presidential election, Atiku must be disqualified based on circumstances surrounding his citizenship The suit was filed on 11th of febraury 2019 at the fedral high court which is asking the interpretations of Section (1) & (2) and 131 (a) of the amended Constitution of the fedral Republic of Nigeria 1999. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice were named by the group as defendants in the suit and they want the court to explain the following 1 If section 25 of the 1999 constitution is the principal authority that defines ways in which an individual can become a Nigerian citizen by birth? 2 According to the provisions of section 131
