BRUTALITY OF NIGERIA, MASSACRE AND GENOCIDE METED TO BIAFRA

Image
CORRECTION TO BUHARI, BIAFRANS ARE MERELY DEFENDING THEIR LIVES FROM THE BRUTALITY OF NIGERIA, MASSACRE AND GENOCIDE. Let me officially respond to the reckless comment of Lt. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari on Biafra and the civil war. 1. First let see the comment, "the Nigerian army was soft on Biafra during the civil war". There have been many reactions and spontaneous reactions over this comment since it was made. No one has welcomed the statement or has defended it. The statement exposed the recklessness of our president, his dark mind and deep-seated hate for the Biafrans. 2. The worst thing to victims of genocide and ethnic cleansing is denial of the act. Throughout history, denial of the acts of genocide and ethnic cleansing have always provoked spontaneous reactions like street protests, riots and violent demonstrations. This is because to deny the fact of genocide is equivalent to the actual act. It reopens the pains of tragic history and recreates the animosi

Honorable Martins Azubuike, member representing Isiala Ngwa North state constituency. Speaking to journalists after the passage of the bill, the Speaker, Rt. The award  of Nigeria’s highest national honour to late Moshood Abiola  is illegal, a former Chief Justice of Nigeria has told PREMIUM TIMES. President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday evening named Mr Abiola, winner of 1993 presidential election that was annulled by former dictator Ibrahim Babangida, a holder of the Grand Commander of the Federal Republic, GCFR, 20 years after his death in 1998. Alfa Belgore, CJN from 2006-2007, said the national honours cannot be awarded posthumously, much less the GCFR, which is the highest honour in the land. “It is not done,” Mr Belgore told PREMIUM TIMES by telephone Wednesday night. “It is for people living.” “The only thing they could do is to name a place after him, but national honours award, no,” he added. Mr Belgore, chairman of the 2016 national honours committee, also said he “was not consulted” by the Buhari administration before the decision was taken. Mr Belgore said under the 1963 National Honours Act, only soldiers or oth

Representatives from the U.S. government and prominent NGOs also joined the discussion. According to Danjuma “Evidence is there that President Buhari has failed. Femi Fani-Kayode “ I f you thought oil was discovered in Nigeria in 1959, you could pass your high school economics with that information. It was, however, actually discovered 50 years earlier. Did you know that oil from the territory was sold for almost 50 years before the approach of Independence in 1960 forced the disclosure of Oloibiri by Britain? Even at that, the quantities were concealed from the newly Independent Nigerian governments, until the counter coup of July 1966, when the North packed their baggage to head back North in the famous ARABA putsch. The then British High Commissioner to Nigeria, of course on the promptings and direction of his home government, zoomed in upon Gowon halfway and prevailed on him to reverse the decision of moving the North out of Nigeria, at a time Gowon already hoisted the Arewa flag in a temporary capital city, Ilorin . In the hurry to announce this reversal, the Gowon’s speech that was originally designed to take out the North, was

Zamfara State has seen repeated attacks in recent times that have left scores dead and added to the agony of unending attacks that have been blamed largely on the jihadist group, Fulani Herdsmen and Boko Haram which has waged a deadly insurgency on Nigerians of non Fulani since 2009 in a bid to enthrone a strict Islamic code in the north and Nigeria at large Shehu said that they invaded Zakuna in the early hours of June 1 and rustled cows belonging to villagers, and a vigilant group known as Yansakai took on the rustlers, forcing them to flee only for them to reinforce and
