Nnamdi Kanu will receive hero’s welcome in Lagos – Fani-Kayode
Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has stated that leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, will receive a hero’s welcome from both the Igbo and the Yoruba community in the South-West when he visits Lagos state.
IPOB had disclosed that Lagos will be next state it's leader Nnamdi Kanu, will visit in his current tour of states in the country.
But the announcement of the visit was greeted with antagonism from individuals who allege that Kanu’s safety cannot be guaranteed in Lagos. However, Fani-Kayode wrote on Tuesday: “Those that have told Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB to steer clear of Lagos and Yorubaland and that have said that he must not go there for any rallies are talking bunkum.”
“Apart from the fact that millions of Igbos that reside in Lagos and many other parts of the south-west would welcome him with open arms and thunderous jubilation, millions of Yoruba youth would also rejoice at his coming simply because they have been inspired and stirred by his sheer courage and dedication.
“To the Yoruba nationalists and believers in the right of self-determination Kanu is a hero and they not only admire him but they also revere him.”
