Shame to all igbo people for abandoning Nnamdi Kanu in the hands Nigeria Military – IPOB

Image
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has accused the Igbos, especially the elites, of abandoning its founder, Nnamdi Kanu, describing their action as a big shame. In a statement issued by an activist and social critic, Ikechukwu Nnaji, and signed by the Publicity Secretary of the IPOB, Emma Powerful, the group said it was the biggest shame on the Igbo race to be silent over the disappearance of Kanu. The pro-Biafra agitators pointed out that it does not matter from which perspective one has judged the matter, as Kanu was a “bold, innocent chap who was tagged a terrorist, was arrested, refused bail against court injunctions, later released on disagreeable grounds, and finally kidnapped by the same government (perhaps killed like his dog and immediate followers).” It added that the Nigerian government would never have spoken of restructuring if not for Kanu, adding that the Federal Government’s “efforts had been to crush Kanu from time.” According to IPOB, the Igbo race has al

Amnesty International releases full report on Buhari's govt before international community

PARIS, MAY 24, 2018:(DGW) Amnesty International has accused Nigerian security forces of raping thousands of women and girls who escaped from the brutal rule of Boko Haram insurgents, and killing many people who refused to be moved from territories rescued from the insurgents. In a new report released Thursday titled “They betrayed us”, the global rights group reported “how the Nigerian military and Civilian Joint Task Force (Civilian JTF) have separated women from their husbands and confined them in remote ‘satellite camps’ where they have been raped, sometimes in exchange for food.” The JTF is a militia working alongside the Nigerian military in the campaign against the insurgency in the Northeastern part of Nigeria. Amnesty International said it has collected evidence that thousands of people have starved to death in the camps in Borno state, north-east Nigeria, since 2015. “It is absolutely shocking that people who had already suffered so much under Boko Haram have been c

Trump cancels meeting with Kim Jong Un

President Trump has cancelled the upcoming summit between the United States and the North Koreans in a new letter released on Thursday. Mr. Trump writes in the letter that he was "very much looking forward to being there with you. Sadly, based on the tremendous anger and open hostility displayed in your most recent statement, I feel it is inappropriate, at this time, to have this long-planned meeting." He also told Kim in the letter, "You talk about your nuclear capabilities, but ours are so massive and powerful that I pray to God they will never have to be used." Amnesty International Plans To Publish ‘Violation Report’ Against Nigerian Military – Defence HQ

Image
The Nigerian Military has accused Amnesty International of planning to publish a false report against members of the military operating in the North East. According to a statement by the Acting Director, Defence Information, Brigadier General John Agim, the military has “credible intelligence” about the plan and that the report contains claims of fictitious rape incidents in internally displaced persons’ camps in the insurgency-ravaged North East. The military is unhappy with what it says is becoming a frequent ritual by the human rights watchdog, which had previously accused it of rights violations. In February and March, the military  condemned two reports by Amnesty , the first accusing it of  rights violations  in its operations and the second accusing it of  ignoring warnings about the raid by Boko Haram on Dapchi  in Yobe State that led to the abduction of schoolgirls. The military warned that the planned unsavory report by amnesty and such reports were capable of demo

Nnia Nwodo’s Restructuring Summit Was A Total Failure – IPOB

Image
We the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and it’s leadership worldwide wish to use this opportunity to commend our hardcore family members from across Biafraland that defied the full military siege at Ekwueme Square, illegal arrests and tear gas, to prove that IPOB is indeed formidable.  Nnia Nwodo’s restructuring summit was a total failure thereby reaffirming our uncompromising stance in the full restoration of Biafra. We equally thank those governors, clergy, Senators, House of Reps and Assembly members that listened to IPOB and declined to attend the event. We particularly appreciate the open rejection of the summit by Ala-Igbo Development Foundation (ADF). Other groups like teachers, civil servants, women groups, youth associations, traders, artisans, traditional rulers and students that stayed away from the summit has given us hope that Biafra restoration has the blessing of the overwhelming majority of our people. Ohaneze Ndigbo and their collaborators now know that no am
