ON BIAFRA I STAND: Before Then I Am A Nigerian
On Biafra I stand. Opinions are divided in and around Nigeria, Igbos included. I have been writing and asking that a new Moses was needed. You have to follow my predictions. I always stand to be corrected. The biblical Moses had some strange upbringing. In fact Joseph, the biblical governor general of Egypt had a strange upbringing. Both Moses and Joseph survived in a strange way, and were brought up by people who were in no way related to them. In today’s language, both of the men were Israelis in diaspora. God has a strange way of doing things, for he is the Alfa and the Omega. Alfa is the soul of Omega. The beginning of the end, and or is it the continuity of the beginning hence universality today and everlasting now? I do not want to be carried away by biblical things. Let me come back to where I began, “on Biafra I stand.”
I really do not want to bore you with biblical things but my fingers keep dictating my sentences. Anyway, man originates from the invisible world, so do anything else, hence the Alfa and the Omega. The educated or should I say the spiritualists believe that thought becomes thing, and the speed of manifestation depends on the will of man which gives it energy by desire. It takes a word to call a thing into existence, and the two extreme polarity of energy co-operates with each other, the negative and the positive to call things into existence. That word “Biafra” pronounced in 1967 is currently being energized by the positive and negative energy given to it on both sides of Nigeria and the entire world. Remember that spiritually thought becomes thing, and the amount of energy put into it creates the desire which naturally leads to manifestation. Naturally, it does not matter if you give positive or negative thoughts to a thing, it must surely materialise. The word mostly pronounced in the world today is “Biafra” and by nature it has been called into existence and with the amount of energy given to it presently, nothing will stop its manifestation. I do not know if I am writing this for Biafrans or Nigerians. However, that word or nation is already established in the spirit world and it must surely come to pass. This is why I said on Biafra I stand, and before then I am a Nigerian.
One thing is certain; all Nigerians are religious. They all worship one God. The Igbos call Him Chineke, the Yorubas call Him Oluwa, and the Hausa/Fulani call Him Allah. Interesting! One God for ever and ever. Now if we all believe in God why do we not understand spiritual things? Before Jesus Christ was sacrificed at the Cross for mankind, bulls were offered at the Alter to appease the gods. He (Christ) offered His blood for the liberation of humanity. Man was released from bondage. I know that it takes two to tango however, millions of Igbos willingly offered their bloods for the liberation and emancipation of their fatherland. I know that on Nigerian side a lot of soldiers died to keep Nigeria one or is it to keep Igbos in bondage? I know that all lives are equal however the Igbos defended themselves from aggression as Nigerian soldiers chased them into their fatherland, after killing tens of thousands of innocent Igbos on the streets of Northern Nigeria. The most shocking thing about this is that Nigerians see it as normal. No one asked why should these people be killed like chicken? Innocent people; they did neither plan nor partake in the first coup. They had no knowledge of the coup. Five radical boys planned and staged the first coup; two Yoruba and three Igbo young officers overthrew the government of Prime Minister Balewa without considering the consequences. The coup was not planned to benefit the Igbos. It was planned to benefit the Yorubas and to put Awolowo at the head. Why then did the northern coup plotters embarked on cleansing Igbos from Nigerian Army? Whenever I write about this I shed tears. In fact 2nd coup failed like the 1st coup as the plotters could only kill Ironsi and Fajuyi. They failed to kill Zik, they failed to kill Okpara and other prominent Igbo politicians. They focused on killing innocent fellow military officers who were unsuspecting of the northern motive. Remember that these military officers were young men, and their brothers who were the first generation of Igbo graduates offered their bloods to defend their parents and their relatives. I am not here to tell the history of Nigerian civil war. I hope one day the truth has to be told hence on Biafra I stand.
I am sorry to have bored you as I am trying to paint a picture. All I am saying is that the Igbos are the victims and not the aggressors no matter how one looks at it. Anyway, God made man to its kind. For the Igbos to seek or agitate for Biafra does not mean that they hate other Nigerians. In fact, it is only the Igbos that practise one Nigeria. The Igbos integrated into other Nigerian societies. However other societies do not want to integrate into the Igbos. How many Hausa or Fulani men have businesses in Igboland? How many Yoruba men have businesses in Igboland? I now challenge anyone to ask how many Igbo businesses are located in the north and the west of Nigeria. Is that the spirit of one Nigeria? To add salt to injury the Fulani herdsmen rampage Igbo villages, killing at will and none is punished, why? Poor Owerri woman, running her restaurant to keep ends meet was beaten and beheaded in Kano last year and up till now nothing has happened. Do you call that one Nigeria? A Nigeria where the Igbos are killed at will? A Nigeria where the Igbos are sacrificial lamb? Oh no, the blood of innocent Igbos killed unnecessarily hunts Nigeria hence on Biafra I stand. Based on the above, do you now see why the most word or name pronounced on earth and in spirit world today is Biafra, and for this singular reason nothing will stop Biafra from materialising. It is a matter of time. Thought becomes thing. Nigerians and indeed the world are helping the Igbos to bring forth the nation of Biafra by talking about it, energizing it. Igbos and the Nigerians are immersed into the spirit of Biafra and it must come to pass. It is too late to reverse it and the first nation to be created in the world from now on is Biafra. When that time comes, and it is pretty near, all Nigerians are welcomed into the newest nation of Africa, Biafra.
Now, the topic is on restructuring. This is why I said that on Biafra I stand, before then I am a Nigerian. We all have to partake in restructuring of Nigeria. You have to be in it to win it. I am still a Nigerian and all Igbos are still Nigerians until Biafra is made a nation. Where do we begin to restructure Nigeria? I start from the division of Nigeria according to its relevant parts. I will call for referendum for all the relevant part of Nigeria to have their say as we had our say in United Kingdom to be or not to be in European Union. The time of all animals are equal and some are more equal than the others are gone. What is good for goose is equally good for the gander. Nigeria has same composition as Britain. Scotland has been semi independence for many years now. Northern Ireland is partly independent for some time now. Why is Great Britain insisting that Nigeria must remain as it arrogantly created by Lord Luggard? Independence, freedom is a human right. Self-determination is natural and human rights. This is the reason why God created man according to his kind. Birds of same feather flock together. As the pillars of United Kingdom has been tested so shall the pillars of Nigeria is to be tested. Restructure number one is referendum for all. Restructure number two is how are we going to divide our assets? The Igbos will not walk away from their share of Nigeria wealth. We must get the share of what belongs to us. Restructuring number three is the return of Igbo money in Nigerian and British banks. It would be a disservice if we walk away from the wealth of our fathers. Let no one fool himself, the Igbos must recover the wealth of their fathers. I believe that it creates more headaches for the leaders of Nigeria than referendum for Biafra.
I believe that the confiscation of Igbo money in Nigerian banks is the biggest injustice in the history of mankind. Nigerians laughed, thinking it was business as usual. Jewish money was returned fifty years after. The Igbo money would be returned even hundred years after. If we fail to recover that money our children yet unborn would recover it. God knows it is our right, our sweat. Do you now see the reason why I said on Biafra I stand, before then I am a Nigeria? I am talking about peaceful disunion or should I say reunion of relevant parts of Nigeria? Let the restructure of Nigeria begin; we will be in it to restructure it. The surprise thing is that the relevant broken up parts of Nigeria will eventually be friends, partners and the defenders of each other in and outside Nigeria and Africa. You have to be an Igbo man or woman to understand the pain of the Igbos. We have suffered untold hardship and humiliation in the hands of subsequent Nigerian governments. Live and let live, and on this note I say that on Biafra I stand and before then I am a Nigerian. He who has ear let him hear.
