Real Madrid win Champions League as Cristiano Ronaldo double defeats Juve Juventus 1 Home team scorers Mario Mandzukic 27   Real Madrid 4 Away team scorers Cristiano Ronaldo 20 Carlos Casemiro 61 Cristiano Ronaldo 64 Marco Asensio 90 In the end it came down to a sight that, by now, everyone in football should be familiar with Cristiano Ronaldo – gelled hair, polished teeth, magic in his boots will never forget the night he scored the 600th goal of an almost implausible brilliant career. It was the moment everyone knew the Champions League trophy on its way back to the Bernabéu and once again, that the four-time Balon d’Or winner had left his imprint all over another final. Ronaldo had scored twice on a night when he also leapfrogged Lionel Messi as the competition’s leading scorer. No doubt he will enjoy that, too, but the real prize here was to be part of a side that has now lifted European football’s most coveted trophy three times

Tinubu Replies Buhari: I Will Crush The North And Divide Nigeria, If They Dare Resist Restructuring Senator Femi Okurounmu, gave the warning while reacting to a statement credited to the Buhari, through the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, saying Nigeria cannot be restructured now, until the Constitution is amended. Speaking with Okurounmu, he said: “I am not surprised by the statement of the AGF, that the North will not support restructuring. The North does not want the status quo to change. “They have always seen themselves as the only people fit to rule Nigeria. Anyway, we did not expect them to say otherwise; we must now force them. “The people supporting restructuring are in the majority; hence, the minority cannot override us. And if they don’t want, we can then break Nigeria into two. “They can go their own, and we go on our way. That is the solution. We should stop asking them, but force it on them, whether they want i

French President Calls Trump, Threatens To Break 240-Year-Old Tradition

French President Calls Trump, Threatens To Break 240-Year-Old Tradition If you watched President Trump announce his decision to pull out of the Paris Climate Accord yesterday, you were likely THRILLED. It turns out that the French are not quite as happy. We wonder why! Reuters reported that French President Emmanuel Macron called our president last night after Trump’s announcement to leave the Paris Climate Accord. The call was short and boiled down to this: there will be no negotiation to enter back into the environmental group. Macron said that we can still work together, but no discussion of climate issues will occur. Wow. If Macron understood how badly being part of the Paris Climate Accord hurt our country, he might reconsider. Instead, he is coming off as a selfish leader who isn’t getting his way. President Trump made the call because our nation NEEDS to free up money, get more jobs going, and bring our country back from the depths of the Obama administration. On

THE SILENCE UNITED NATIONS ON GENOCIDE AND TREATS AGAINST BIAFRANS

Image
The Nigeria Civil War against Biafra remains the most untold story in the world. No one has ever really scratched the surface of it. Below reveal some of the indicative true nature of the war that shows how even our most loved leaders failed humanity. “I want to see no Red Cross, no Caritas, no World Council of Churches, no Pope, no missionary, no UN delegation. I want to prevent even one Ibo from having even one piece to eat before their capitulation. We shoot at everything that moves and when our troops march into the centre of Ibo territory, we shoot at everything, even things that do not move” (Benjamin Adekunle, Commander, 3rd Marine Commander Division, Nigerian Army to French Radio Reporter). “All is fair in war, and starvation is one of the weapons of war. I don’t see why we should feed our enemies fat in order for them to fight harder”, (Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Nigerian Minister of Finance, July 28, 1969) “Federal troops killed, or stood while mobs killed, more than 5000

Independence Day Bombing: Court strikes out charges against Charles Okah

Independence Day Bombing: Court strikes out treason charge against Charles Okah A Federal High Court in Abuja has struck out one of the charges brought against the alleged mastermind of the 2010 Independence Day bombing, Charles Okah. Justice Gabriel Kolawole said he was dismissing the charge because evidence cited in court did not prove that President Goodluck Jonathan, who was at Eagle Square, the target of the blast, was intimidated by the attack. He said the evidence before him failed to prove that Mr. Jonathan was sneaked out of Eagle Square, venue of the 50th anniversary celebration of Nigeria’s independence. Mr. Kolawole said the evidence did not prove a case of treason as contained in count one of the charge. He also said the evidence cited by the prosecution failed to prove that governors who attended a meeting on March 15, 2010 in Warri, Delta State, where another blast occured, were also intimidated. He however dismissed a no-case submission filed by Mr. Ok

South-east Development Commission Bill Is About Biafra – Northern Lawmakers Kick

Image
South-east Development Commission Bill Is About Biafra – Northern Lawmakers Kick The South East and some South South lawmakers on Thursday protested openly after the rejection of the South-east Development Commission bill. In rejecting the bill, Rep Muhammad Sani Abdu (APC, Bauchi) said it was "suspicious" coming at a time Southern Easterners were calling for a Biafra Nation. Similarly, Rep Muhammad Garba Datti (APC, Kaduna) argued that the sponsor of the bill, Deputy Minority Leader, Chukwuka Onyeama, was wrong to say the South East was marginalized. He added that the reference to Civil War in the debate for the bill would bring further division among Nigerians. But proponents of the bill, such as Rep Toby Okechukwu (PDP, Enugu) said the bill would further entrench unity among Nigerians and that other regions could bring such bills in future. After the debate, Speaker Yakubu Dogara put the bill into voice vote, to which majority of the lawmakers voted against. It was ob

Ailing African Presidents Leave Nations in Leadership Limbo

Ailing African Presidents Leave Nations in Leadership Limbo Leaders of Nigeria, Angola, Zimbabwe seek treatment abroad Incapacity offsets experience benefit: Renaissance’s Robertson Nigeria, Angola and Zimbabwe are being left in leadership limbo as their ailing rulers spend weeks abroad seeking medical attention.  The presidents of the three African nations all wield considerable power, and their absence has stoked investor uncertainty and stirred talk about succession. The situation hasn’t been helped by their governments’ failure to disclose what’s wrong with them. “Despite an average population age of around 17 to 19, many sub-Saharan African countries have elderly leaders in their 70s or above,” said Charles Robertson, Renaissance Capital’s London-based chief economist. “The benefit of experience can be offset when illness incapacitates elderly leaders. A healthy democracy like Nigeria now has institutions which function well when the president is ill. In less tran

Biafra: Your Apology Means Nothing To Us, Keep The Cake And Give Us Biafra--IPOB Fires Obasanjo

Biafra: Your Apology Means Nothing To Us, Keep The Cake And Give Us Biafra--IPOB Fires Obasanjo It is said that the Yorubas are merited chameleons, that is to say, they are hypocritical in nature, and you will concur with me that the former President of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, is a typical example. Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, in his speech at the  # Biafra50  Conference which was held on 26th May, 2017, stated that the Federal Government of Nigeria should beg Biafra agitators to sheath their swords and re-embrace Nigeria because there was enough 'cake' to share. In his speech, where he called our fallen heroes who fought with their bare arms for 3 years 'naive', he opined that that while the war was thought to be something that could have ended with the batting of an eyelid, it ended after a treacherous and devastating 30 months. He further declared that they never meant to wipe out Biafrans during the war. After listening to all of the garbage being spewed by t

The Folly Of "One, United, Indivisible Nigeria"; The Owners Of Resources Has Become The "Slaughtered Cow"

BIAFRA: The Folly Of "One, United, Indivisible Nigeria"; The Owners Of Nigeria's Resources Has become The "Slaughtered Cow" Biafran children starved by the British-sponsored Nigeria government during 1967-70 genocidal war From the eve of July 29, 1966 over 270 Igbo senior military officers were killed in Abeokuta, Ibadan, Lagos, Zaria etc. As this butchery of human beings was going on in what was tagged a retaliatory coup, the northern officers declared Araba; Ferried their families home to secede from the rest of British Nigeria. But this plan was discarded when Britain sold the idea of oil to them and how they will profit from taking control of the oil. As the killing of military officers of Igbo origin was getting to a climax, the Northern civilians unleashed their cubs and machetes on innocent civilians all through the North. People were cut into pieces. In 30 days, over 20,000 Igbo lives were mowed down by this sheer barbarism. What a folly of  "

Bill seeking to address Biafra agitation suffers setback

Bill seeking to address Biafra agitation suffers setback   A Bill seeking to address Biafra agitation with the establishment of Development Commission for the Sputheast geo-polical zone suffered a setback  on the floor of the House of Representatives Wednesday. The sponsors of the Bill  failed to present it for second reading. The general principles of the bill, sponsored by Chukwuka Onyema (PDP, Anambra), Uzoma Nkem-Abonta (PDP, Abia) and Henry Nwawuba (PDP, Imo) was listed for debate Wednesday but had to be stepped down. When it was time for the bill to be debated and the Speaker, Yakubu Dogara noticed that the lead sponsor Onyema, who is also the Minority Leader was not on the floor, he asked the Chairman, Rules and Business Committee, Emmanuel Oker-Jev to step it down. At this point, voices were heard around the floor indicating that one of the sponsors,  Nkem-Abonta was on ground. The Speaker then asked Nkem-Abonta to take it. On his feet, the lawmaker stated

WEST PAPUA: THE GENOCIDE THAT IS BEING IGNORED BY THE WORLD

Image
WEST PAPUA: THE GENOCIDE THAT IS BEING IGNORED BY THE WORLD {united nations} If you need evidence that politicians and the mainstream media pick and choose which  oppressive conflicts to cover  in order to further geopolitical ambitions, you need only Google “ West Papua .” Ever heard of it? Have you ever been sitting at home watching  CNN ,  BBC , or  Fox News  and heard the news anchor mention West Papua? It’s strange that this oppression receives little to no media coverage considering a recent fact-finding mission conducted by the Brisbane Archdiocese’s Catholic Justice and Peace Commission  reported  that West Papua was experiencing a “ slow motion genocide .” The report warned West Papua’s indigenous population is at risk of becoming  “an anthropological museum exhibit of a bygone culture.” When you learn what fuels the conflict in West Papua, it becomes clear why this issue receives hardly a blink from  our peace-loving politicians  and media establishment.
