RE-ARREST NNAMDI KANU AT YOUR OWN PERIL
Open Letter To The Nigerian Government Led By Ag. President Yemi Osinbajo.
Sir, I wish to bring your attention to the news making rounds on social media about the plans of your government to re-arresting the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on the bases of violating some of his bail conditions. Many mischief makers peddling and floating this ambiguous lies in the Nigerian enclave are dumb and uninformed. Sir, recall that the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was illegally arrested and unlawfully incarcerated and charged with frivolous and bogus charges for two years without trial, in a bid to scuttle the massive agitation that is sweeping every corner in Nigeria. It is an established fact that he is the arrowhead of Biafra restoration project and his arrest triggered unimaginable outrage and protests around the world. Undoubtedly, the tenacious and relentless efforts of Biafrans and external pressure from international communities on your government, he was released on bail. These bail conditions are so stringent and should not be meant for humans.
Taking a glance at the purported violated bail conditions:
That Nnamdi Kanu should not be in the midst of more than ten persons, that Nnamdi Kanu should not grant interviews, that he should not lead rallies amongst other conditions. These conditions are too stringent, they defies all logics and violates both the Nigerian constitution and international laws. Bear it in mind that the Nigerian government in several occasions flouted orders of the court for him to be released both on bail and unconditionally, thereby violated his fundamental human rights with impunity.
It is pertinent at this juncture, to also bring to the notice of the Nigerian government led by you Mr Acting President and her fantastically corrupt judiciary, that Nnamdi Kanu is a crowned Prince of Isiama Afara-Ukwu Ibeku in Umuahia, Abia state and being a crowned Prince he is a custodian of culture according to the tradition of Igbo extraction in Biafraland. As the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra which counts in millions, it is sacrilegious for him to chase away his followers when visited and no sane person does that. Therefore, these conditions on its own violates his fundamental human rights, hence should be ostracized.
Haven delve distinctively on the bail conditions and it's flaws, it is important to state unequivocally that any conditions that is against human rights defies potency. The recent meeting you Acting President Yemi Osinbajo had with the 36 state governors was where plots to re-arrest Nnamdi Kanu were hatched, concluded and sealed. According to an information duely delivered to Family Writers Press, has it that, it has been sealed that the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will be re-arrested in his next court appearance and will be subsequently killed in the prison custody. Now the real message: The Nigerian government should henceforth, know that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra is no longer an individual but an institution. He is representing millions of Biafran faithfuls and no longer own himself. The unimaginable plaque and unpleasant experiences of the stateless Nigeria within his two years of unlawful incarceration is just a tip of an iceberg as to what will befall her if eventually he is re-arrested. Therefore, the Nigerian government led by you should expressly shun the intent of re-arresting him.
Sir, the Nigerian government should listen to the wise counsels and let Mazi Nnamdi Kanu exercise his God's given rights. There are rights that are fundamental, they make man human and they are undeniable hence, Kanu should be allowed to live the life attached to humans as a full-fledged homo-sapiens(man). Nnamdi Kanu should be allowed to continue his unending court case with the Nigerian government without further molestation or any form of re-arrest.
Has it not occurred to you sir, that the Nigerian judiciary is a disgrace to humanity, turning upside down the laws of the land. The Islamic Arewa youth forum recently declared that Igbos (Biafrans) should vacate their enclave and till today the Nigerian government, judiciary and her military forces have turned blind eye to such treasonous crime but arrested Kanu for freely expressing his fundamental human rights to free speech as a law abiding citizen. So long as the Arewa youths that made that declaration have not been arrested and charged to court, re-arresting Nnamdi Kanu is tantamount to breaching his fundamental human rights which on its own is injustice and it is also a clear case of supremacy of a section against other sections of the country. Therefore, re-arresting him will lead to anarchy which will further destroy the already battered image of Nigeria. Re-arrest Nnamdi Kanu at your own peril.
