‘Buhari having sleepless nights over threats to Nigeria’s unity’ – Prof King

President Muhammadu Buhari is having sleepless nights over threats to unity by militancy, ethnic separatism and agitation for restructuring by groups, the Chairman, National Book Launch Committee, Prof. Richard King, has said.
King, who spoke yesterday in Uyo, said the President desired a cohesive, undivided and peaceful country, hence the  inauguration of the committee, aimed at promoting unity.
“It is becoming obvious that for the nation to survive the critical moments it is passing through, every well-meaning Nigerian must align with the well-intentioned position of President Buhari to build a cohesive, undivided and peaceful country set along the paths of keeping one, strong and united Nigeria.
“The imperative is what the committee seeks to achieve through our present engagement and responsibility; and I believe my colleagues and I are poised to work in that direction and realise the unity of Nigeria,” he said.
All Progressives Congress (APC), Akwa Ibom State chapter, said the President and well-meaning Nigerians were of the opinion that the greatness of the country was predicated on its diversity.
The professor of fisheries and aquaculture noted that the committee is constituted to drive into the consciousness of Nigerians that President Buhari is working to stem the tide of separatists’ agitation, tension and violence.
