Many Dead As Fulani Military Men Open Fire On A Sunday Church Service In Anambra,The South-East Of Nigeria




Hundreds of worshipers are feared dead and many others injured in the attack which took place in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra state in Nigeria today the 6th of August 2017. The eye witness stated that many of them were recognized as the Nigerian military officer, they majorly spoke the Hausa/Fulani language referring to the Igbo speaking people of the country as bastards who are meant to be killed. Police and military personnel were urgently called to come and salvage the situation, but it ended up they did not turn up on time. Security personnel arrived at the scene 2 hours after the attacks. The Commissioner of Police in the state, Garba Baba Umar, confirmed the attack.
The present Governor of the State, Governor Willie Obiano has also visited the scene to ascertain the situation. The governor condemned the attack and assured the people that an investigation into the incident would commence immediately. He added that the state government would ensure the perpetrators of the evil act are apprehended and brought to justice.
