Enugu Airport In State Of Decay, Very Dirty And Disgraceful – Bruce Laments

Senator representing Bayelsa East district in the National Assembly, Ben Murray-Bruce, on Thursday, decried the dilapidated state of the international airport in Enugu.
According to him, the state of the airport was disgraceful owing to the facts that the aviation sector generates no fewer than N100bn annually.

He said the airport had failed runway, dirty toilets bad runway lights, falling roof infrastructure etc.

Murray-Bruce made this known via his Twitter handle while on oversight with members of the Senate Committee on Aviation.
He tweeted: “Senate Aviation Committee on oversight in Enugu airport. Disgraceful airport. Dirty toilets. Failed runway. Yet contractor paid in full.
“Runway approach lights not working. Crater on runway. Falling roof. Infrastructure is in a complete state of decay. DISGRACEFUL!

“No lounge. No rest place for pilots or crew. With over N100billion annual revenue from the aviation sector, I’m speechless!

“Currently, there are 28 mystery containers at the Enugu airport & no one knows what’s inside. The containers have been here since Jan 2014.”
