Federal Secretariat Abuja On Fire



Fire has gutted a small section of the Federal Secretariat in Abuja 
The complex houses major government offices in in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory.
Eyewitnesses said the fire started on the sixth floor of the building and is believed to have affected the seventh and eighth floors.
Most of the damaged area is reported to be occupied by the Federal Ministry of Education.
A spokesperson for the Federal Fire Service said the agency received an alert 30 minutes after the fire started and its men were able to stop the inferno from spreading to adjourning buildings.

No casualty was recorded in the fire the cause of which is not yet known.
