The proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) yesterday reiterated its stand over the forthcoming governorship poll in Anambra State, insisting that the exercise will not hold. It ordered its members in the area to stay at home on the election day, saying the success of a boycott of the Anambra poll would make a huge statement to the international community on the seriousness of the Biafra agitation. A statement issued by Emma Powerful who had always spoken for the group,  described the poll as a test case for the group and its allies. The statement said ‘corrupt Igbo politicians’ must be taught that money cannot buy IPOB members as they are special breed untainted by the corrupt tendencies of Nigerian politics. Biafra: Nigerian Army speaks on Nnamdi Kanu’s whereabouts. The Director, Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen. Sani Usman, has maintained that family of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu knows where Kanu is hiding. Usman urged Nigerians to ask the younger brother and lawyer to the IPOB leader, Ifeanyi Ejiofor of Kanu’s whereabouts. The Army spokesman also said Kanu was somebody without any means of livelihood, but used “propaganda” to attract public sympathy. Speaking in Abuja, while rounding off a two-day media conference on the military’s enhancement of human rights, Usman said Kanu’s followers were in a “one-chance vehicle.” He made these remarks while insisting that the IPOB leader was not in custody of the Nigerian military. Evangelist Ugochukwu Elliot Uko A Southern Leader of thought, Evangelist Ugochukwu Elliot Uko, has blasted the government of Nigeria for concocting lies against the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB Leader On September 20, 2017, Justice Abdu Kafarati of the Federal High Court, Abuja issued an Order purporting to proscribe the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on a companion ruling or designation that IPOB is a 'terrorist organization'. The Adaka Boro Avengers have warned that it would launch attacks on Bonny, Nembe and Forcasdos trunk lines if NNPC GMD, Maikanti Baru, does not heed to its demands. One of the militant groups in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria, Adaka Boro Avengers (ABA) has accused the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum corporation (NNPC), Maikanti Baru of disrespecting the Minister of State for Pe troleum Resources, Dr Ibe Kachikwu and also, appointing only northerners into the oil firm.
